About us
Sandpiper Restoration (Est. 1976) is a family run business who specialise in the sympathetic sandblasting of period buildings as part of the restoration process.
The high level of skill used, care of approach and historic understanding of timber frame structures, has resulted in a reputation of trust among the guardians of our heritage and those who love and care for these properties.
These include:
- Conservation Officers across the South of England
- English Heritage
- IHBC
You will also find us at the Weald and Downland Museum in Singleton, lecturing in the classroom for students who are studying for their MSc on beam cleaning in period buildings.
We have over the years been privileged to have worked on many fascinating projects, these have varied in size and status from a small derelict one bedroom cottage up to the exquisite and breathtaking Grade 1 listed Tudor Manor House that was built in c1525, Sutton Place in Guildford Surrey.
